First I want to start by wishing one and all a Happy Gay Pride since it was just this past Sunday. So much has happened since my last entry. I have a new residency in Montral @ Parking Club. I share this honor with a very good friend, legendary DJ Producer Angel Moraes. Stay tuned for dates. I also have a new residency here in San Francisco @ The End UP on Fridays once a month. The name of the party is "Fag Fridays". I share this residency with Dj Producer David Harness, DJ Rolo, and DJ Producer Pete Avila. It looks like things are really looking up. I'm very excited. Stay tuned for dates on this as well. What's even more exciting is the new release from the "Barton" family; "To Call My Own". I know I've said this before but I really feel that my mixes "Manny's I'm In Love" , and "Manny's Own Instrumental" is my personal best to date. The "I'm In Love Mix" was inspired by my mentor David Morales's monster rmx of Mariah's "Say Something". I was so happy with the outcome that I decided to do and instumental mix with a beautiful solo while keeping the full on energy that's in the track. Well Sen-Sei the amzing musician that he is came through with flying colors...THANK YOU SEN-SEI FOR YOUR EXTREME TALENT AND PERSONALITY!!!!!! He surpassed my vision on how beautiful this could actually be. Let's just say that when Barton heard it, his eyes well up with tears... I just hope they were tears of Joy. :~) As for Charlie, I noticed that when he hears something that he likes, he gets this certain smile on his face that doesn't fade until the song is over. I saw that... I guess that was my seal of approval. This past weekend I was lucky enough to see the man that inspired the whole rmx (again Mr. Morales), so let's hope he like's it also. The reaction I get on the dance floor when I play it is tremendous so at least it's a good start. Hopefully you all will feel the same. I have to thank Barton and Charlie for their involvement in this rmx also. Everything just came together so smoothly, the ideas, the suggestions, and the additions. For the near future my follow up to "U II Feel is" done and almost ready for release. I'll have a rmxs released along with my original by a hot new rmx duo. I won't tell you who they are yet, but I will tell you this much.......Watch out because you will be hearing a lot more from them, and they will be blowing up like NITRO baby!! BTW the name of the follow up is called "THE CYCLE",and I collabarted with another very good friend of mine, legendary DJ producer Danny "Buddah" Morales. He sings on the track and takes it through the roof. Wooork Danny!!!!!! :~) So that's the update for now. I hope you all are having a great summer so far. I won't take so long in between blog entries as I have done before. Besides I have a feeling this is going to be a busy summer for us, so we'll want to keep you posted on everything that happens. And it's all good!!!! After that detailed explanation of my "U II Feel", It turns out that our beloved Sergio Concalves of Pitch Control promotions loves it and wants it out there. What's more, I can't think of any other label to have this released on but Netspheres. It's home for me. Finally another original release. It's been two years since my last solo release, and I gotta tell ya' it's an amazing feeling. I hope you all "Feel" it as much as Montreal, Boston, and S.F.'s End Up "Feel" about it. ....... Nice play on words huh? The reaction I get everywhere I go to play is amazing. There's nothing better then seeing a packed club jump, and scream to something that you've created. Not to mention the DJ's that you love, respect, and are inspired by play your record......... WOW!!!!!...brings tears to your eyes. I need to give some props to my partners in crime. Charlie has done an INCREDIBLE job with the design of the CD cover. He did it all!!!!! Along with all of the foot work... Thank you soooo much!!!! And of course Barton for laying down those vocals, and then bringing this track to the attention to Sergio Concalves. Thank you sooooo much!!!! Aside from the "U II Feel" release I recently finished a rmx of a Jill Jones song called.....get ready for this title........."Fuck You Till Your Groovy".. That one I'm very proud of. In that re-mix project I've done things that I never thought I could do as a rmx/producer... It's lifted my confidence tremendously. I have to say that this year has been the most productive, and successful of my career. Thanks to the Netspheres family, My manager Lisa in Montreal, and of course the support of my baby Billy. "U II FEEL" - moi feat Barton on vocals. The B VOCAL MIX: is the main mix that's straight up crazy tribal, progressive peak hour track. I love the whole guitar riffs that's in there. It makes the track stand out from anything else that I've ever done. The DEEP DARK JOURNEY DUB is me at my house music core.When doing this one, I was inspired by the Morales Def Mix dubs that has always sent me into a trance when hearing, and feeling them. The way Barton's haunting vocals travel through the journey is trippy, and dark. Just the way I love it!!!!! Thanks to DJ B'Ugo from Montreal for making this his #1 track!!!!!
